Highlandwear | Outdoor Living | Showcase Scotland
Our socks stand out from the crowd due to their vibrant colours and unique patterns but more so because of the quality.
Nestled in the heart of the rich, unspoiled Borders countryside is Hawick - home to our factory. We currently employ 22 passionate and highly skilled members of staff. All the manufacturing processes are completed under the same roof, from concept to completion. Each sock is passed through 12 pairs of hands, from selecting the finest yarns to point linking, hand sewing and packaging to name but a few. This level of attention to detail ensures excellence in every stitch.
We take great pride in creating top-quality products and being a luxury ‘Made in Scotland’ brand. Although we have introduced modern machinery and techniques through the years, we believe in keeping traditional craftsmanship alive therefore much of our manufacturing process is very hands on.
House of Cheviot is the only sock manufacturer in Scotland which makes us unique. We are the official kilt sock supplier of Team Scotland (Commonwealth Games) and regularly supply Team Europe (Ryder Cup) with socks for events. We knit socks for the famous bagpipe band Red Hot Chilli Pipers as well as fieldsports enthusiast Guy Ritchie.
Any orders placed at the show are subject to 2019 pricing. Ask one of the team for more details at the show or drop us an email.
Our market is quite traditional. Both kilt wearers and shooting enthusiasts are expected to follow certain etiquette however we like to bring new and exciting designs to Scotland’s Trade Fair each year.
We’re launching new styles in our men’s and ladies collections for 2020. The new styles and colours have been inspired by the Scottish landscape – from the grouse moors to mountains in the Highlands and the picturesque valleys and rivers in the Scottish Borders. As a proud ‘Made in Scotland’ brand we’re keen to keep strong links with our heritage and have designed the range with Scottish tartans, tweeds and traditions at the forefront of our mind.
Our ladies range bridges the gap between the shooting market and country lifestyle; our socks can be worn during a driven shoot, a dog walk or as a fashion statement with long boots and an on trend tweed jacket. Growing the ladies market is a priority for us this year as female participation in field sports continues to increase.
